How Can We Fight Traffic Ticket Charges
Traffic tickets are alleged violations of the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, the regulations made under and other applicable statutes. In Ontario, traffic violations come in two broad forms. Part I deals with minor offences. Part III involves more severe infractions. These tickets may lead to demerit points, fines, license suspensions, and even imprisonment. Additionally, they may significantly increase your insurance premiums or render you uninsurable. Part II focuses on the initiation of parking violations.
Traffic violations are the most common charges in Ontario.

Statistics compiled by the Ontario Court of Justice in 2022 indicate that the provincial court received 1,790,885 charges. Around 93% are part I offences and around 4% are part III offences.
